YOU ARE HERE: Working for Connexions
 |
The way Connexions is set up and run has changed during 2008. Since it was set up in 2002, Connexions has been a government-funded service, but from April 2008 the funding and responsibility for delivering the Connexions service transferred to local authorities.
Birmingham City Council and Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council commissioned Birmingham & Solihull Connexions Services to continue to provide the existing service until 1 October 2008. After this date, the main Connexions service split and became part of each local authority, with staff transferring across.
Some of the non-core Connexions services transferred to a new Company, BXL Services, at October 2008.
Any vacancies that become available will be filled by the recruitment process for the relevent authority or service.
